BIG LAKE CHARTERS

Grand Marais MN

Grand Marais Fishing Charter and Cruising Service

ABOUT US

Welcome aboard the 2 Eazy!!  The 2 Eazy is a 1992 Searay Sundancer 290 29 feet in length with a 9 foot beam. Your Captain Tom (2E) Bernier is a US Coast Guard Certified Charter Boat Captain. I started fishing Lake Superior when I was 13 and have yet to stop, This gives me almost 40 years of fishing experience on the Big Lake. The boat is equipped with Radar, GPS/Sonar, Downriggers, Rods, Reels, divers, and lures. The boat also has a full head and all safety equipment on board.

THE CATCH

Early season, May through June, we use Downriggers and fish deep for Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout, Chinook and COHO Salmon. As the water warms the fish come up shallower and become more active. The Trout, Salmon and Rainbow Trout are then caught on flat lines, shallow divers and downriggers. Your catch will be cleaned and bagged for you after returning to the dock.

WHAT TO BRING

Bring a Minnesota Fishing License and trout stamp, some snacks ( No bananas allowed on board!) and something to drink and a small cooler. Alcoholic beverages are allowed in moderation.  Please wear soft soled shoes, no boots allowed on board. Also bring warm clothes as surface temp is rarely above 60 so it gets cold fast when the wind picks up.
Also bring sea sickness medicine if you are susceptible. Fish will be cleaned and bagged for you at the dock.
